Qwest will no longer be my service provider for my cell phone. I now have to sign up with Verizon and get a new phone. The choices are: LG VX5400 & Samsung SCH-u430. Which is a better choice or is there an even better choice?

Pyramid Print refuses to give me my last pay check. They "claim" it was mailed to my old address even though they had the new address that I've been living at for the last EIGHT months! Now, they tell me that I'll have to pay to cancel the other check and then they can reissue me a new check.
Does anyone know what legal ground I have and who I can talk to? I am LIVID! |

I got a new job! I started today. I wasn't supposed to start until Monday, but when I went to Pyramid Print today, Tom sent me home. So much for giving a week's notice! I'll still go in for my last day tomorrow, but if he sends me home early, I have another job waiting because Pepperdine's definitely wants me back tomorrow. It's such a laid back place. I already like it. I'm just happy to finally have another job even though it's a cut in pay, but guaranteed 40 hours a week plus benefits after 90 days. AND room for advancement. Wish me luck! I have been so miserable with my jobs in the last five years so I hope this is a positive thing.
I'll also be starting school again in October. I'm going back to get an MBA. It seems having a bachelor's degree doesn't cut it anymore when you want to actually survive in this world. I'm tired of just scraping by. I worked really hard in school just to work for measly wages, doesn't seem fair. Hope I'm not wasting my money by going back to school as this will set me back another $40K! *ouch*

to everyone here. sorry that I haven't been reachable for the past few days as I was supposed to receive my cellphone on Tuesday, but because of weather, I still have not received it, and they have disconnected my landline. pooey! so, happy holidays to everyone. I am on my way to Louisiana tomorrow morning at 7am, hopefully. I've printed my boarding pass, have everything packed, and am trying to get SOME sleep here at the new place.
Have a safe and wonderful Christmas everyone, and please do not forget what Christmas is all about. It's a celebration of our Lord's birth. Everything has become so commercialized, and lately it seems Christmas just brings out the worst in everyone. Just don't forget what it really means.

On my Mac, I have to CONSTANTLY log in to livejournal, and then when I go to my friends pages, it logs me out so therefore I cannot read ANY of the locked pages. I have to log in to do anything. What happened since Monday??? HELP!!!!! |

Last night, I ventured to 2101 for some birthday partying. I was supposed to also make it out to Netherworld, but I just ran out of time. Sorry Ann! I still managed to be a camera goddess last night though so if you'd like to see how much fun I had last night, go HERE. I think my partying will continue tonight at Netherworld provided I am awake enough to drag myself out again. I AM BEYOND TIRED right now. I didn't go to sleep until 3am, work at 8am, and working a nine hour day. Luckily, Jack has already left for the day so I can lounge around a bit. ;D
Thank you to everyone who showed up last night to wish me happy birthday. I was blown away by the surprising turnout. I feel so loved today! :D and to think I was worried, but I am my own worst critic. THANK YOU ESPECIALLY Jared & Tamara for suprising me! I love watching Jared dance:
The biggest surprise of all was when someone I haven't seen in forever showed up to wish me the best. I felt SO SPECIAL! Only thing is:

I am in a partying mood after last night. Thank you to Jessica for a WONDERFUL party last night. That spinach/artichoke dip was TO DIE FOR! I kept going into the other room thinking if I got far enough away from it, I wouldn't think about it. RIGHT!
Did anyone else make it? I was curious if anyone knew this guy Shawn from last night. Yes, you read that correctly. I met this very cool guy who has the same name and it's spelled the same way. But unfortunately, I just left without saying goodbye to anyone, and now I could KICK myself for not doing that. :[ Why do I always try to make that invisible escape? |

and I still haven't posted my pictures from Sunday night when I went to the Wreck Room for the first time in MONTHS!
It was such a beautiful day on Sunday that I gardened. I planted cucumber, zucchini, and tomato seeds. We'll see if more stuff grows this year. This year, I put so much more "love" into my garden, completely dug up the dirt and mixed it with Miracle Grow. So maybe....Amoreena came over and helped for a bit too. I'm glad she was over cuz other wise I would have made a complete ASS of myself:
Sometimes, smoking and gardening DO NOT mix. :D Though I did get a lot done and felt very productive so smoking isn't SO bad. :D
Then later, Amoreena and I watched Law & Order - Criminal Intent, then headed over to the Church for Wreck Room festivities.
